Dementia STARs Bathing and Dementia

Presenter: Dr Susan Gee
Length: 40 minutes

Personal are tasks like supporting a person living with dementia to have a shower or bath can be hard. A person-centred approach can help us understand why it may be very reasonable to say 'no' from the perspective of the person living with dementia and how we can move together to a 'yes'. This session will look a person--centred approach to the bathing process from invitation to experience, and when we need to take a step back.
